2022 ISC West Conference Presentation – Proper Planning for a Security Improvement Project

Mark Schreiber, our Principal Consultant, had the privilege of delivering an educational presentation on "Proper Planning for a Security Improvement Project" at ISC West 2022.

"Very few security professionals have had experience with a large construction project from its inception through the first day of operation. Which enables a limited view of the complexity as well as the underlying purpose of the security improvements. Through experiences with the end-user, architects and engineers, security integrators, and the system operators, each team member’s goals in the process can be achieved successfully with the right context and understanding of what benefits the end-user organization,” Schreiber explained during the presentation, as cited by SIA (Security Industry Association).

On March 22nd, the presentation covered the fundamentals of a security improvement project, whether as part of a large construction project or as a small security-only implementation. He went over key stakeholders' roles, supporting resources, and key planning factors like security risk definitions, functional requirements, and the project design basis.

We hope the attendees gained valuable knowledge which will help them prepare for their next project, ensuring that their goals are met and minimizing any wasted investment or resources. To learn more about Schreiber's presentation and to ask any follow-up questions, click on the link below.
